Eldridge Street Museum

The Eldridge Street Museum in Manhattan is an old Jewish landmark. Established in 1887, the historic synagogue, which is now a museum, leads visitors through the lives of Jewish families that immigrated to New York City. The museum offers various collections about Jewish ritual and practice, Ellis Island immigrants and synagogue architecture and preservation. Many exciting activities and events are planned for the Museum at Eldridge Street's 125th anniversary. Viewers can enjoy interactive exhibits, and can even find out if their ancestors worshiped at the historic temple. The new East Window is especially breathtaking.
